Making a Real Difference

SRTA employees aspire to be respected and engaged in the communities in which they work and live. It’s about building relationships based on trust and integrity and using the Authority’s outstanding leadership to help solve community problems. The Authority regularly volunteers it’s time and resources to a variety of causes including: UNCF (United Negro College Fund), Atlanta Community Food Bank, Christian City, Goodwill Industries of North Georgia, Shriners Hospital for Children, Project Open Hand-Atlanta, Special Olympics, American Red Cross-Metro Atlanta Chapter, United Way of Greater Atlanta, Earthjustice, Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (Women Moving On), Action Against Hunger, American Bible Society, Children’s Hospital, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, the American Lung Association, Georgia Justice Report, Childhood Obesity, American Diabetes Association, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Center for the Visually Impaired, Hillside, Inc., Zoo Atlanta, the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army World Service Office, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Grady Rape Crisis Center, Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, PAWS Atlanta, Inc., and the Atlanta Humane Society.
